Yu Ouyang is originally from Shenzhen, China, where she completed her early education before moving to the United States in 2023 to pursue her undergraduate studies in nutrition. As a nutrition major with a growing interest in food science, Yu is eager to deepen her understanding of the field through hands-on laboratory experience and academic exploration. Although she has not yet begun her own independent research project, she has contributed to several studies by assisting Obed and Assey with projects involving plasma-activated water and FODMAP-related research. Outside of her academic pursuits, Yu enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking and connecting with nature. She also stays active on weekends by playing badminton and swimming. Her favorite food is mango!
